Brandon & Associates acted as the Superintendent’s Representative providing construction phase administration and site-based oversight for the road rehabilitation project. The project was completed over a 45-day construction period and involved the rehabilitation and surfacing of the existing pavement to improve long-term pavement performance and network reliability.

Key construction activities included subgrade and subbase preparation, placement of a 150 mm compacted stabilised base course comprising a 60% slag and 40% cement blend, application of a C170 spray seal with 14 mm aggregate, and installation of a 50 mm AC14 asphalt wearing surface incorporating recycled asphalt pavement. These works delivered a robust pavement structure designed to meet the operational requirements of the road network.

Throughout construction, Brandon & Associates provided daily surveillance services, coordinated responses to contractor requests for information, conducted periodic inspections of completed works, and managed the release of quality hold points. The team also maintained close liaison with the project design team to address site queries and facilitate efficient project delivery, helping to ensure that construction outcomes met the required quality and project objectives.
