MORVEN FREIGHT HUB
MORVEN FREIGHT HUB
This project involved the project management and facilitation of a new rail freight hub at Morven for Murweh Shire Council, creating a strategically important piece of regional transport infrastructure to support the efficient movement of livestock and agricultural products. Designed primarily for cattle loading and freight operations, the facility was developed to enhance supply chain efficiency, provide improved access to rail transport, and strengthen the long-term economic resilience of the local agricultural sector.
Brandon & Associates was engaged to provide project management and coordination services throughout the planning and construction phases, acting as a key interface between Council, contractors, stakeholders, and future freight operators. The role included overseeing project delivery, facilitating approvals and stakeholder engagement, managing construction activities, and ensuring the infrastructure was delivered in accordance with Council's objectives, budget, and operational requirements.
The completed freight hub provides Murweh Shire Council with a valuable regional asset that supports livestock producers, freight logistics operators, and the broader agricultural industry. By improving freight efficiency and expanding transport options, the project contributes to economic development across the region while establishing critical infrastructure capable of supporting future growth in freight and agricultural activities.
