GLENVALE STATE SCHOOL CARPARK

GLENVALE STATE SCHOOL CARPARK

This project delivered a comprehensive traffic, parking, and site access upgrade aimed at improving safety and operational efficiency for the school community while reducing congestion along Glenvale Road. The works focused on enhancing morning pick-up and afternoon drop-off operations, increasing available parking capacity, improving driver visibility, and reducing the risk of vehicle and pedestrian conflicts. The outcome provided a safer, more functional environment for students, parents, staff, and visitors while supporting the school's long-term growth and operational needs.

Brandon & Associates provided end-to-end project delivery services, including project management, concept development, environmental and geotechnical assessments, earthworks and drainage design, retaining wall engineering, utility coordination, lighting design, landscape planning, stakeholder consultation, detailed design, and construction phase services. A key focus of the project was the optimisation of the site layout to maximise off-street parking capacity while preserving valuable open space and playground areas, ensuring the educational and recreational needs of the school community were maintained.

Through detailed engineering analysis and collaborative design development, multiple retaining wall and site configuration options were assessed to balance aesthetics, functionality, cost, and impacts on existing drainage pathways. Early-stage cost planning, safety reviews, and construction workshops enabled the project team to reduce budget risks while delivering a practical and cost-effective solution. The completed upgrade significantly improved traffic flow, parking availability, safety outcomes, and the overall user experience for the school and surrounding community.
