ROAD RESTORATION

Following the effects of floods in Queensland, Brandon & Associates were approached take part in National Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA) road reconstruction projects in Dalby.

We completed a wide variety of tasks and roles as Consultant Engineers for the ongoing projects including project management, creation of tender documents and contract conditions for external contractors, organising, sampling and testing of road construction materials and calculation of gravel quantities and demand. Due to our extensive local experience and history in this region, the location of below-ground services was beneficial to allow relocation prior to the commencement of the construction works programme.

The large amount of works in a relatively small town meant that many contractors were working in close proximity to each other. Brandon & Associates were able to meet fixed deadlines with close monitoring from Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) through efficient planning and management of materials and contractors.  Communication between key stakeholders and team members was pivotal to the success of this project and ensured timely decisions were made.
