DIRECTOR OF NURSING ACCOMMODATION 

NEW BUILD RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES

The Bulloo Shire Council Director of Nursing’s House is a four-bedroom home on stumps with Hebel cladding, under floor insulation and an energy efficiency star rating of 7.2 stars. The house is designed to be cost-effective and make use of energy efficient practices. Brandon & Associates were responsible for the project management and contract management during construction.

With a desire to increase local participation, Brandon & Associates posted advertisements in regional newspapers to attract interest from builders in the Western Region.  Following finalisation of the tender summary, a builder from Withcott was awarded the contract.

Although many projects located in Thargomindah encounter some aspects of difficulty due to the remote location, this project proved to be an exception and exceeded all expectations.  It was a seamless project from start to finish with all parties pleased with the end result. We were able to make use of the best products to achieve a high energy rating, ensuring the residents remained as cool and as comfortable as possible in hot and dry conditions.
