ROAD WIDENING AND OVERLAY PROJECT

Brandon and Associates were selected as engineering consultants to undertake project management and superintendent responsibilities in the delivery of 14km of road upgrade for Council.

The project required an upgrade of the existing single lane bitumen road to a two-lane sealed standard under an infrastructure upgrade agreement with Santos.

There were a number of challenges to overcome throughout construction, based around the design requiring blending of existing pavement material and importation of additional pavement gravel. Brandon’s staff were able to work with the construction contractor to provide workable cost-effective solutions.

Brandon and Associates successfully managed delivery of the AS2124 civil construction contract to meet a critical completion deadline of Christmas 2015 and also ensured completion within the nominated budget.
