In addition to residential projects for large building contractors and developers, Brandon & Associates has also worked on smaller residential properties for private home-owner clients wishing to build their own personal place of residence.
Former projects have involved extensive meetings with the client to determine the initial architectural interpretation and drafting of the client’s ideas into building plans. Taking into account the soil type present on each site, Brandon & Associates have provided advice on the most suitable form of construction, as well as the structural design of footings, floor framing, floor slabs and wall/roof framing.
Energy efficiency assessments were conducted on many projects with special consideration given to the hydraulic design of sanitary drainage and onsite effluent disposal requirements on rural projects. Through the use of CSIRO Approved “Accurate Sustainability” 2nd generation energy efficiency assessment software, we have been able to model housing living costs and maximise performance of the building through strategic planning of orientation, building materials and build form.
On each of our private residential projects, Brandon & Associates have managed to use sound building and energy efficiency knowledge to maximise natural liveability and minimise running costs, whilst listening and addressing the needs of each client. This practicality has been effectively balanced with the client’s initial ideas, resulting in high-quality design outcomes.
